Right-Wing Coalition Launches V26 Campaign to Boost Voter Turnout Ahead of Israeli Elections

The story · English

A joint campaign headquarters named V26 has been established to increase voter turnout among right-wing supporters in Israel ahead of the upcoming elections. The initiative focuses on mobilizing voters in peripheral cities, neighborhoods, and right-wing strongholds where turnout has traditionally been low. The campaign will deploy thousands of volunteers to conduct door-to-door outreach and organize transportation to polling stations.

The V26 campaign is led by Yossi Dagan, head of the Shomron Regional Council, along with Yaakov Weinberger and Yoni HaIsraeli, leaders of the "My Likud" settlement group, and other activists from Likud and allied parties. This effort builds on the success of the V22 campaign from the 2022 elections, which collaborated with Likud, Religious Zionism, and Otzma Yehudit parties. That campaign contributed to the right-wing bloc securing 65 Knesset seats.

Yossi Dagan emphasized the importance of grassroots efforts, stating, "In the previous elections, we proved that fieldwork can change the picture. Thousands of volunteers went door to door and brought people to the polls. Now we are launching V26, bigger, more organized, and stronger." He added, "The national majority in Israel must be reflected at the ballot box. We will reach cities and neighborhoods, go door to door, and bring people to vote. With God's help, we will bring a great victory to the national camp."

The campaign's name, V26, continues the naming tradition started by V22, which itself was a nod to the left-wing V15 campaign from 2015 designed to secure a left-wing victory. The V26 initiative aims to replicate and expand on the previous campaign's success by intensifying voter mobilization efforts across the country.
