Minister May Golan Accuses Netanyahu's Circle of Undermining Her After Likud Primaries

Minister May Golan responded to her low placement in the Likud party primaries, which effectively excluded her from the party's Knesset list for the upcoming elections. Despite receiving broad support from thousands of party members, Golan found herself in an unrealistic slot, which she attributed to a deliberate campaign against her by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's inner circle. She accused them of spreading false information and orchestrating "hit lists" to prevent a right-wing, opinionated woman from advancing within the party.

Golan explained that the technical mechanism behind her drop was due to the extensive use of reserved spots by Netanyahu, which limited the number of realistic list positions to 17 for over 40 candidates, including ministers, Knesset members, and newcomers. Although she secured over 19,000 votes, she was pushed down to the 40th position, far from a realistic chance of election.

She thanked her supporters for their ongoing trust and encouragement, emphasizing that their backing gives her strength to continue representing them faithfully with "our voice of truth." Golan promised to reveal more details about the actions taken against her in the future.
