Attorney General Warns Against Police Oversight Law Changes During Election Period

She emphasized that the appointments in question involve highly sensitive and senior positions within the law enforcement body. Baharav-Miara highlighted that the selection committee responsible for these appointments is predominantly composed of members chosen or influenced by the Minister of Justice through his confidants, underscoring the political involvement in forming the committee and the resulting politicization of the law enforcement system.
