Ultra-Orthodox Warning to Netanyahu Spurs Satirical Backlash
In a satirical daily video segment on the Sroגים website, commentator Ariel Sharper mocked a warning issued by MK Yaakov Asher to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Asher said the ultra-Orthodox may not join the right-wing bloc in the next election, claiming they have already “swallowed a lot of frogs” on issues outside their worldview, such as the settlements, and now believe the right-wing bloc is serving itself rather than “our heart’s core.”
