The Israel Defense Forces, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and the Cyprus Immigrants Association, have identified the remains of soldier Shlomo Haimson, who fell in 1948. Haimson, one of the deportees from Cyprus, was found to be buried in grave number 11, row 2, in the immigrants' section of the cemetery in Haifa. This discovery was made as part of an ongoing investigation by the IDF's Missing Persons Unit to locate and identify fallen soldiers.
