Ben Tzur's Petah Tikva Stadium Show Becomes a Night of Unity and Faith
Ben Tzur performed on Thursday night at Shlomo Insurance Stadium in Petah Tikva before about 13,000 people, and the concert quickly felt like more than a standard show. From the opening moments, the crowd was already energized, singing together and creating an atmosphere described as one of unity and faith.
The set began relatively slowly, with songs such as "Hashem," "Tashlich," "Havayah" and "Hen Yafah." They were emotional and beloved, but not the kind of tracks that immediately ignite a stadium. As the show progressed, however, the mood lifted sharply and the venue turned into a huge celebration of faith and joy.
Major songs including "Neshamot Tz'ma'ot," "Emunah," "Geulah" and "Ish HaPele" got the whole crowd on its feet. One of the most moving moments came around "Ahavat Hashem," when a screen video told the story of Ben Tzur's life and path, including his moments of going into battle wrapped in an Israeli flag, wearing a kippah and tzitzit. Right after the video, he brought that person onstage and they sang "Ahavat Hashem" together, the song Ben Tzur wrote about him.
The performance was full of energy, with Ben Tzur appearing lively, smiling and focused, and the crowd responding in kind. The main drawback was visibility, since many people seated far from the stage could mostly see him only on the giant screens. Even so, the audience left with the sense that the evening had been more than a concert, it was a shared event of faith, unity and what the article calls sanctifying God's name.
