Rom Breslavsky Criticizes Rabbi Over Same-Sex Wedding Ceremony

Rom Breslavsky, an Israeli singer and former captive, publicly criticized Rabbi Rafael Yonatan Polishuk for officiating the wedding ceremony of singer and actor Shahar Taboch and his partner Amir Aharon. Breslavsky clarified in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that his issue was not with the LGBTQ community but with what he called "toy rabbis" who disrespect the Torah. He accused the rabbi of turning something pure into a mockery and claimed that even Moses would be ashamed of Polishuk's actions. Rabbi Polishuk responded by expressing pain over Breslavsky's harsh words, stating that while Breslavsky could disagree with his methods, he acts with sincere intentions to bring people closer to the Torah. Breslavsky did not retract his statement and replied that "male homosexual acts are a great sin in the Torah," telling the rabbi he should be ashamed of himself.
