Avigdor Lieberman Mocks Defense Minister Katz, Calls to 'Hit Him Hard' Amid Likud Primaries

Defense Minister Israel Katz is facing sharp criticism from Avigdor Lieberman following a campaign video promoting Katz in the Likud party primaries. The video features assassinations carried out during Katz's tenure, set to the song "Boom Boom Boom." In a radio interview on 103FM, Lieberman sarcastically said, "He needs to be hit hard," referring to Katz's campaign tactics.

Lieberman also criticized Katz for focusing on the primaries rather than his defense duties, stating he expected the first announcement of the day to be Katz's dismissal. This comes after Prime Minister Netanyahu secured safe spots in the primaries for three ministers, exempting them from competition.

Additionally, Lieberman condemned the new Sunni alliance between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey as another failure of the government following the October 7 attacks. He highlighted that while the alliance claims not to target Iran, Pakistan's foreign minister openly stated their opposition to Israel, which Lieberman said undermines Israel's qualitative military edge.
