Likud Proposes Real-Time Voting Data Sharing by Central Election Committee

MK Avichai Boaron of the Likud party has proposed that the Central Election Committee establish an official system to provide real-time voting data to all political parties during election day. Currently, the collection of voting data is managed by party representatives at polling stations. Boaron addressed the committee chairman, Judge Solberg, stating that there is no technological or democratic justification for withholding basic turnout information from parties in real time. He emphasized that the proposal would protect voter privacy, ensure equality among parties, and prevent operating election day without timely information.
