The story · English

The commander of the Sabra Battalion in the Givati Brigade addressed the parents of soldiers who abandoned the Sde Teyman base in protest. The soldiers left after their commanders removed signs they had put up. In a message to the parents, the commander acknowledged the seriousness of the soldiers' absence without leave, comparing it to the military's 'Pazm games' known for causing harm through violence and humiliation.

He explained that he personally destroyed wooden signs depicting the devil and the angel of death, which had been a source of tension. The commander noted that many soldiers who left their weapons and exited the base did so due to social pressure. To help these soldiers reconsider their actions, he set a deadline of 4 PM for them to return to the base without further consequences.

This move aims to ease the situation and encourage the soldiers to come back voluntarily, highlighting the commander's attempt to manage the protest within the ranks while addressing the underlying issues causing the unrest.
