The story · English

Kama-Tech has initiated a new cycle of its accelerator program aimed at ultra-Orthodox entrepreneurs, selecting ten startups from over 200 applicants for the final stage. The program, part of Kama-Tech's broader efforts, provides a significant platform for ultra-Orthodox innovators to advance in Israel's high-tech and innovation sectors. Participants receive comprehensive support including professional lectures and personalized business mentoring, with the goal of establishing successful companies that contribute to the Israeli economy.

This accelerator cycle operates in strategic partnership with Poalim-Tech, the innovation arm of Bank Hapoalim, Poalim in the Community, leading high-tech companies, and major global investment funds. These partners offer the startups valuable tools, knowledge, and extensive networking opportunities essential for success in the tech industry.

Kama-Tech CEO Moshe Friedman emphasized the program's importance amid current economic challenges, highlighting the opportunity for growth during complex times. He noted the high quality of this year's applicants made the selection process particularly challenging. Friedman expressed gratitude to the program's partners and supporters and shared hopes that the initiative will yield influential and thriving companies.

Founded by Friedman alongside prominent ultra-Orthodox entrepreneurs, Kama-Tech enjoys backing from leading figures in Israel's tech industry and maintains close collaborations with international tech giants and venture capital funds. The organization also works closely with ultra-Orthodox community leaders to develop high-tech activities that respect spiritual values without compromising professional standards.

Since its inception, Kama-Tech has helped create advanced training and placement programs, nurturing over a thousand ultra-Orthodox women annually and supporting around 100 active ultra-Orthodox-led tech companies employing more than a thousand workers. The current accelerator program represents a key step in Kama-Tech's ongoing mission to integrate ultra-Orthodox entrepreneurs into Israel's high-tech ecosystem while preserving community values and creating quality employment opportunities.
