Senior Tax Authority Official Investigated for Fraud and Breach of Trust
The National Fraud Investigation Unit of Lahav 433 has concluded an investigation into a senior official of the Israeli Tax Authority and his personal assistant on suspicions of fraud, breach of trust, and privacy violations. The probe, conducted in cooperation with the Civil Service Commission, revealed allegations that the suspects acted in conflict of interest, violated employee privacy, and engaged in unlawful activities, including unauthorized access to a mobile phone. The case has now been forwarded to the Jerusalem District Attorney's Office for a decision on prosecution.
