Iranian Crown Prince Criticizes Trump, Emphasizes Iranian Protesters’ Fight for Freedom

Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi sharply criticized the policies of former U.S. President Donald Trump without naming him directly during a meeting on Sunday with Silvan Adams, President of the World Jewish Congress in Israel. Addressing the recent wave of protests and violent repression in Iran, Pahlavi stated that thousands of Iranians have died not for economic interests or nuclear agreements, but for freedom.

The exiled crown prince condemned the American administration’s approach and highlighted that the Iranian protesters’ sacrifices were for liberty rather than geopolitical or economic gains. During their meeting, Pahlavi and Adams discussed the liberation of the Iranian people and the establishment of future diplomatic relations between Iran and Israel.

Adams presented Pahlavi with two Jerusalem stone mezuzahs, one intended for a future Israeli embassy in Tehran and the other for an Iranian embassy in Jerusalem. These mezuzahs were inscribed by an Israeli scribe of Iranian descent, symbolizing a deep connection to both Jerusalem and Iranian roots.

Pahlavi underscored the historic ties between Iran and Israel, noting their unique biblical connection dating back 2,500 years. He expressed gratitude for the support from Jews worldwide and Israelis in Iran’s struggle for freedom. Looking ahead, he expressed hope that once the current regime falls, the country can be rebuilt with international assistance and invited Adams to visit Tehran to identify locations for future embassies.
