Limor Becker Steps Down After 17 Years Leading Hamilton Lane Israel Operations
Limor Becker, who has managed the Israeli operations of the American alternative investment firm Hamilton Lane for 17 years, is leaving the company. The announcement was made to the Israeli office staff yesterday. Becker, who joined Hamilton Lane in 2009, founded and developed the company's presence in Israel, establishing strong ties with major institutional investors and expanding their exposure to private markets. Under her leadership, Israel became one of Hamilton Lane's key markets outside the United States, with over $1 billion invested in private equity, venture capital, private credit, infrastructure, real estate, and Israeli companies.
Hamilton Lane is one of the world's largest alternative investment managers, overseeing assets exceeding $1 trillion across managed and advised portfolios. The firm invests through funds, direct investments, and secondary transactions, primarily serving institutional investors such as pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, and universities. Becker previously held investment roles at Migdal Insurance before joining Hamilton Lane.
She will be succeeded by Zoe Nakash, a senior team member since 2014 who currently serves as managing director and head of client relations. In recent years, Becker also led the expansion of Hamilton Lane's offerings to private investors through Evergreen funds, designed to make private market investments accessible beyond institutional clients. These Evergreen funds have recently faced pressure in the U.S. market due to investor redemptions.
