The well-known lecturer Rabbi Asher Perkash shares, in the third episode of the series “Things I Learned from the Rebbe” ahead of the Rebbe’s yahrzeit, the unforgettable answer to “the dream of my life,” as well as the repeated blessing for young men from Morocco. Watch (Chassidut)

The third episode in a special four-part series ahead of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s yahrzeit on the 3rd of Tammuz, “Things I Learned from the Rebbe,” by the well-known lecturer Rabbi Asher Perkash.

A chassid asked the Rebbe Rashab, “Rebbe, what is a chassid?” The answer he received became one of the most important foundations in the Rebbe’s teachings, “A chassid is a lamplighter.” Someone who lights street lamps, walks around at night, and illuminates the darkness.

In the third episode of the series, Rabbi Asher Perkash shares things he learned from the Rebbe about:

🔹 The remarkable story of the dialogue between the Rebbe Rashab and the chassid, and the Rebbe’s deep explanation of every detail in it, against the backdrop of the demonstrations and roadblocks; singer Bentzi Stein was rescued by an unusual route on his way to bring joy to a bride and groom, Chaim Rosenbaum | 19:07

🔹 What the Rebbe wrote to a chassid who asked for a “rectification” for setbacks in divine service, and the new path he discovered

🔹 The story of Rabbi Nissan Nemanov and the repeated blessing for young men from Morocco, “May they be candles to illuminate”

🔹 “One act is better than a thousand ideas,” engaging with the light instead of with the darkness

🔹 The Rebbe’s unforgettable answer about “the dream of my life,” and the remarkable message, “I gave you the match”
