US Forces Divert Three Ships Attempting to Breach Iran Naval Blockade in Gulf

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that Marines from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit boarded the oil tanker Wen Yao in the Gulf of Oman to verify its compliance with the US naval blockade on Iran. According to CENTCOM, three commercial vessels attempting to break the blockade have been diverted from their course so far. Additionally, one ship was disabled after failing to comply with orders, and another was inspected. The US military emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding waters remain open for navigation, except for vessels attempting to violate the blockade.
