Maor Bouzaglo's Son Ray Begins Football Journey at Maccabi Haifa Academy

Ray Bouzaglo, the 13-year-old son of former Israeli footballer Maor Bouzaglo, is starting his football career at Maccabi Haifa's academy for outstanding players. Maor Bouzaglo shared in an interview with Lilach Markovitz on Mako that Ray made the decision independently after visiting the club and feeling wanted. "The child wanted it. We were there on a tour, he saw a club that wanted him," Maor said, emphasizing that Ray's path is his own and not influenced by his father's career.

Maor recalled meeting a mother whose son, now 24, was prevented from pursuing football as a child and still regrets it. This encounter reinforced his commitment to support his son's ambitions without holding him back. "If the child wants to go, he will go; if he wants to return, he will return. We will always be here," Maor stated.

Reflecting on his own youth, Maor noted how different the football world is today, with advanced communication tools and a greater emphasis on hard work beyond talent. He expressed confidence in both of his talented sons but stressed that dedication is essential for success. Maor also clarified that he stays behind the scenes, offering occasional advice but not interfering in Ray's decisions, which are entirely his son's.
