IDF Disabled Veterans Postpone Jerusalem Protest Following Netanyahu's Intervention

The IDF Disabled Veterans Organization announced on Thursday that it is postponing a planned protest in Jerusalem scheduled for the upcoming Sunday. This decision came after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu personally intervened and announced the immediate advancement of a government resolution to adopt the recommendations of the Mor Yosef Committee, aimed at strengthening support for IDF disabled veterans and security forces wounded in service.

The organization emphasized that despite postponing the protest, their struggle will continue until the full implementation of the committee's recommendations. They praised Netanyahu's direct engagement and the commitment shown by the Prime Minister, Defense Minister, and Finance Minister to expedite the process. The organization expects the government resolution to be approved and the recommendations to be fully enacted within days.

IDF Disabled Veterans Organization Chairman, Attorney Idan Kliman, expressed appreciation for the leadership's commitment and stated that the veterans are not seeking favors but demand that the state fulfill its obligations to those injured defending it. He reiterated that the organization will persist in its efforts until the Mor Yosef Committee's recommendations are officially approved and implemented in full.

The Mor Yosef Committee was established to enhance the support framework for disabled IDF veterans and wounded security personnel. The government's swift action follows growing pressure from the veterans' group, which had planned the protest to highlight their demands. The postponement signals a temporary de-escalation but not a cessation of advocacy efforts.
