Engelbert Humperdinck Announces Two Farewell Concerts in Tel Aviv in January 2027

British music legend Engelbert Humperdinck will perform two concerts in Israel on January 25 and 26, 2027, at the Tel Aviv Culture Hall. These shows are part of his international farewell tour, "The Last Waltz - Farewell Tour," marking his retirement from live performances. Humperdinck, who celebrated his 90th birthday in May 2024, is renowned as one of the world's most respected balladeers, holding a Golden Globe and a British MBE honor.

Born Arnold George Dorsey, Humperdinck began his professional career in the late 1950s and rose to fame in 1967 after adopting his stage name on the advice of his manager Gordon Mills. That year, his hits "Release Me" and "The Last Waltz" topped UK charts, each selling over a million copies. Over the decades, he has built a devoted fan base known as "Humperdinckers," producing numerous hits including "Quando, Quando, Quando," "A Man Without Love," and "Can’t Take My Eyes Off You." He was also nominated for a Grammy for a gospel album in 2003 and represented the UK in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest.

Expressing his fondness for Israeli audiences, Humperdinck said, "I have a special affection for the Israeli crowd since my first visit in the 1970s. I have performed in Israel several times and am very happy to return. In previous shows, I found the Israeli audience romantic and embracing, and I am coming to give you a hug back." Ticket sales began this morning, with prices ranging from 329 to 849 shekels. The announcement comes amid other major music events in Israel, including Dolly Parton's Broadway story and Celine Dion's upcoming concert series.
