Mother of Kidnapped Israeli Teen Reveals His Room Used as Public Toilet in Kibbutz

Iris Hayim, mother of Yotam Hayim who was kidnapped and accidentally killed by IDF fire in Gaza, shared a painful post on social media marking 1,000 days since the war began. She revealed that workers employed by a contracting company in the "Young Generation" neighborhood of Kibbutz Kfar Aza have been using her late son's room as a public toilet. Hayim expressed shock and disgust, describing how the workers apparently avoid using the kibbutz facilities and instead relieve themselves in Yotam's room.

Hayim demanded 100,000 shekels from Dov Halbertal and criticized the contractors' behavior sharply, questioning "Where are we living?" She also shared her emotional pain, asking how others would feel if they saw a video showing their child's home turned into a toilet. Although the kibbutz management has installed security cameras and taken steps to address the issue, the disrespectful act continues unresolved.

Hayim has not publicly named the contracting company but appealed to the public for help to stop this disgrace and restore respect to her late son's memory. The incident highlights ongoing tensions and sensitivities in the kibbutz community where Yotam lived before his tragic death during the conflict.
