Israeli Defense Minister Says Hamas Not Re-Arming Amid Deep Iranian Missile Production Damage
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz revealed new details about Israel's security assessment following recent operations against Iran. According to Katz, Israel has inflicted significant damage on Iran's missile production and launch capabilities, forcing Iran to deploy missiles from underground tunnels due to severe disruptions in their manufacturing infrastructure. Katz emphasized that while Iran still retains some missile stockpiles, their ability to replenish these is critically impaired.
Katz stated that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) remain prepared to resume strikes against Iran at any moment, highlighting the rapid and effective air superiority achieved during the recent "Roar of the Lion" operation. He assured that the IDF is ready to continue offensive and defensive actions as necessary.
Regarding the Gaza Strip, Katz addressed concerns about Hamas rearming, asserting that Israel currently does not recognize any significant rearmament by Hamas, attributing this to Israel's control over the Philadelphi corridor. He also noted that despite some casualties in Israel's home front, the damage was far less than initially feared, thanks to defensive measures and preemptive strikes.
Katz further revealed that the leadership of Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis have gone underground into bunkers following Israeli military actions. He described the current situation as one where these groups are in hiding but remain vulnerable to Israeli operations.
The Defense Minister underscored Israel's strategic advantage over Iran post-operation and expressed confidence in Israel's military capabilities moving forward.
