Likud Criticizes Channels 12 and 13 for Not Airing Netanyahu's Lebanon Agreement Statement

Following Channels 12 and 13's decision not to broadcast Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statement regarding the Lebanon agreement on Saturday night, the Likud party issued a sharp condemnation of the channels. Likud accused these broadcasters, which often complain that Netanyahu does not address the public, of deliberately choosing not to air his remarks when he does so. The party labeled Channels 12 and 13 as "propaganda channels" in their official statement.

This is not the first time Netanyahu's statements have been partially or fully omitted by these outlets. In April, Channel 12 completely ignored a Netanyahu statement, while Channel 13 aired only a brief segment before returning to the studio. In contrast, Channels 14 and 15 broadcast the statement in full.

The tension between Netanyahu and these media outlets has been ongoing for years, partly because the Prime Minister refuses to grant interviews to Channels 12 and 13. Netanyahu believes these media organizations operate in an inappropriate manner, contributing to the strained relationship.
