Transportation Bottleneck in Bnei Brak Solved Ahead of Omer Adam Concerts

After an urgent appeal to police not to block the “Sofrim Complex” neighborhood, a quick solution was put in place on the ground today. Public transportation routes will be diverted to the Rabbi Landa Bridge, which was officially opened to traffic today, and the traffic light systems were activated.

City of Bnei Brak (photo: Flash90) Less than a day after the urgent and tense appeal sent by Bnei Brak Municipality Director General Israel Erenstein to the commander of the Gush Dan district in the Israel Police, Deputy Commissioner Elad Klein, in which he unequivocally demanded transportation solutions and that access routes to the “Sofrim Complex” neighborhood not be blocked because of singer Omer Adam’s large concerts at Ramat Gan Stadium, the city’s new transportation artery was inaugurated today and provides an immediate solution to the crisis. Following intensive engineering and bureaucratic efforts, the bridge named after Rabbi Moshe Yehuda Leib Landa, of blessed memory, was officially opened to traffic today. The opening of the wide bridge provides a fast and direct transportation solution for residents, at exactly the right time.

Public transportation routes will be diverted to the new bridge, and the traffic lights were activated. In light of the series of concerts at the nearby stadium, the “Mivtsa Kadesh” bridge is expected to close today and intermittently in the coming days.

To prevent serious disruption to residents’ daily lives, and following professional and efficient coordination led by the Transportation Department in the Infrastructure Division with the Dan company, it was decided that the public transportation lines serving the Sofrim Complex will be fully diverted and will pass directly דרך the new Rabbi Landa Bridge. This move ensures that service to the northern neighborhoods will continue as usual and without delays.

At the same time, as part of regulating traffic flow on the new routes and in an effort to ease the heavy congestion surrounding the concert area, the traffic light systems at the Mother of Settlements intersection, the Rabbi Landa Bridge, and on Mother of Settlements Road at the entrance ramp to Highway 4 were successfully activated today. These steps will provide a safer and smoother driving experience for all drivers and road users.
