לקראת המשחק בין נבחרות ישראל ואירלנד, פרסמה התאחדות הכדורגל האירית את ההרכב למשחק בדברצן, אך ללא אזכור של ישראל או סמל ההתאחדות הישראלית. בכותרת הגרפיקה שפורסמה ברשתות החברתיות נכתב "ההרכב שלנו למשחק בדברצן", ללא כל התייחסות ליריבה. זאת בניגוד למשחקים קודמים של הנבחרת האירית, בהם כן נכללו סמלי היריבות, וכן במשחקים של נבחרות הנוער והנשים.
