North resident blames the U.S. for limiting Israel’s Lebanon response
As security tensions continue in northern Israel, local frustration is rising over what residents see as outside powers shaping the fighting against Hezbollah. Eldad Yugev, a resident of Moshav Shomera, voiced that anger in an interview with the morning show "The World This Morning." He expressed condolences to the bereaved families and said, "First of all, I send my condolences to the families, this is something that is very painful for us." He then said, "I do not blame Iran, I blame the United States unequivocally," adding, "They do not know what is happening here."
Yugev said the main threat on the ground is anti-tank fire aimed at communities, and argued that Israel must protect its citizens without waiting for outside approval. "I think the State of Israel should not ask anyone," he said. "The State of Israel should act today to build a separation fence."
He warned that if the IDF withdrew completely from positions inside Lebanon, the result would be the collapse of life in the Galilee. "If the IDF leaves Lebanon completely, it will be the end of the Galilee and the line will start from Nahariya, the yellow line," he said.
