במהלך הלילה שבין שבת לראשון, נשיא ארצות הברית דונלד טראמפ קיצר את שהותו בקמפ דיוויד ושב לבית הלבן. במקביל, משרד החוץ האמריקאי פרסם אזהרה לאזרחיו מפני "חשש להסלמה" וכן מפני אפשרות לסגירת חלק מהמרחב האווירי במספר מדינות במזרח התיכון, ביניהן ישראל, קטאר, כווית, ירדן, בחריין, עיראק, לבנון ועומאן. דיווחים ערביים מצביעים על חשש להסלמה בזירה התימנית ובזירה האיראנית, תוך אזהרה מפני התפתחות מהירה ללא התרעה מוקדמת. בעקבות המצב, טראמפ ביטל את כל פגישותיו שתוכננו להיום.
