משרד החוץ הישראלי אישר כי מספר אזרחים ישראלים נעצרו בטורקיה אתמול (שבת), בחשד למעורבות בפעילות פלילית. על פי הודעת משרד החוץ, "הوز ירד עוקבת אחר התפתחויות האירוע ופועלת במרץ להבטיח את זכויותיהם של האזרחים הישראלים העצורים".

במקביל, שר המשפטים הטורקי מסר כי תשעה אזרחים ישראלים נמנים עם יותר מ-200 איש שנעצרו במסגרת קמפיין מעצרים רחב היקף, הנראה כי הוא מכוון לפעילות פלילית.
