ועד עובדי עיריית בני ברק יוצא במחאה נגד צעדי ההתייעלות וההנחיות החדשות שדורש משרד הפנים, מחשש לפגיעה בתנאי העובדים. בין הצעדים הנדונים נכללים קיצוץ בשעות נוספות, הגבלות על עבודה בימי שישי והידוק הפיקוח על נוכחות.

העובדים מביעים זעם על הצעדים, וטוענים כי הפגיעה תהיה בעיקר על העובדים הפשוטים. המחאה מגיעה על רקע דרישות משרד הפנים לצעדי התייעלות בעירייה.
