Smart Collar Uses AI to Interpret Pet Emotions and Communication

A new AI-powered smart collar, named PetPhone, aims to bridge the communication gap between pets and their owners. Developed for both dogs and cats, the device goes beyond simple location tracking and notification features.

According to Guy Shahar, a technology and innovation reporter who discussed the product on "HaOlam HaBoker," PetPhone's primary goal is to facilitate continuous communication with pets. "The goal is that the pet will also communicate with you, not just you with it," Shahar explained.

Beyond providing real-time location data and sending alerts to the owner's phone, the collar is designed to interpret a pet's emotional state. Shahar elaborated that the device can identify a pet's feelings, a capability applicable to both dogs and cats.
