Doron Offer sells Bnei Zion estate for about NIS 40 million

The story · English

Doron Offer has sold his large estate in Bnei Zion for about NIS 40 million, nearly 30 years after buying the 15,000-square-meter plot in the second half of the 1990s for an estimated $1 million, Globes reported exclusively. Offer built a roughly 1,300-square-meter villa with a swimming pool on the property, on Haurashat HaEkaliptus Street, after receiving a building permit in 2000.

The move reflects a broader trend among wealthy buyers who once flocked to the central Sharon area. Around the same time Offer bought his land, his sister, Liora Ofer, and businesswoman Shari Arison also purchased nearby estates. Over the years, however, many owners concluded that heavy traffic to and from Tel Aviv hurt the appeal of living there.

Some of those estate owners later put their properties on the market and moved into Tel Aviv penthouses or abroad. Offer himself relocated to Europe, where he runs most of his business interests. According to older reports, he had already tried to sell the estate in the previous decade with a price tag of $14 million.

Globes said the current sale price was about $11 million, but at a weaker dollar exchange rate than today, which indicates a real reduction in value. Offer could not be reached for comment.
