Biblical Bloc Party Submits Knesset List Including Deceased Candidate

During the official submission of candidate lists for the upcoming Knesset elections, the Central Elections Committee experienced an unusual event. Representatives from the "Biblical Bloc" party presented their list of four candidates, only to reveal that one of the individuals named is already deceased. The revelation occurred during the formal presentation process, making this one of the more peculiar incidents during the current election cycle.

The "Biblical Bloc" party, founded in 2018 by Dennis (Avi) Lipkin, aims to foster political cooperation between Jews and Christians based on shared biblical values. The party's platform includes upholding the integrity of the Land of Israel, strengthening Jewish-Christian relations, combating terrorism, improving Israel's global public relations, encouraging investment in Israel, and preparing for future immigration.

Despite its stated goals, the party has struggled to gain electoral traction in past Knesset elections. In the 24th Knesset elections, it received 428 votes, and in the 25th Knesset elections in 2022, it garnered 411 votes, both falling far short of the electoral threshold.

The party is now participating in the election process again, and even before the campaign has reached the wider public, the submission of its list has already generated an unexpected and irregular occurrence.
