אורן דוברונסקי, המכונה "המשוריין של נתניהו", הודיע כי לא יתמודד ברשימת הליכוד לכנסת. הסיבה המפתיעה להחלטתו היא הדרישה לוותר על אזרחותו האמריקנית, תנאי הכרחי להתמודדות פוליטית בישראל.

למרות החלטתו שלא להתמודד, דוברונסקי צפוי להמשיך לכהן בתפקיד שר לענייני בינה מלאכותית (AI) מטעם הליכוד. תפקיד זה, שנוצר במיוחד עבורו, מדגיש את חשיבותו בעיני ראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו ואת רצונו לשלב אותו בממשלה.
