Lindsey Graham Says Iran Deal Should Help Expand Abraham Accords

Senator Lindsey Graham praised President Donald Trump’s latest Middle East messaging in a post focused on the Iran agreement Trump is promoting, while avoiding any direct criticism of its contents. Graham said Trump’s top goal should be to expand the Abraham Accords soon, calling that path a historic route to stability and prosperity in the region.

Graham argued that such an outcome is only possible if countries in the region believe Iran has been weakened or has changed its behavior, especially its role as a disruptive power and supporter of terrorist groups. He framed the talks as part of a broader effort to permanently block Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

The South Carolina senator said, “I sincerely hope the upcoming negotiations to permanently prevent Iran’s nuclear ambitions will succeed.” He added that, because of Trump’s actions, “Iran and its proxies have been weakened tremendously,” saying they no longer have the capacity to produce “another October 7” and that their nuclear capabilities have suffered a major setback.

Graham ended by defining the long-term objective as opening a path to peace through expanded normalization with Arab states and deeper regional integration. He said that if the confrontation with Iran leads to that result, it would be “one of the most successful military operations in American history,” and told Trump, “you are right to keep your eye on the big prize: regional integration and lasting peace.”
