Actor Shlomi Yifrah Tries His Hand at Israel Aerospace Industries

Actor Shlomi Yifrah spent a day working at Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), a company known for its advanced defense technology, including converting passenger planes into cargo carriers. His visit, however, had a dual purpose: to experience the company's operations and to recruit single employees for the "Singles Run" event in Tel Aviv.

Yifrah's tour included a visit inside a converted passenger jet, where he met flight systems developer Tal Michaelov. They discussed the aircraft's capacity and Michaelov shared her views on dating, stating she prefers not to be paid for on first dates. Yifrah also met Tomer Gershon, head of the wings team, who oversees aircraft production and safety. Gershon expressed a different view on dating finances, stating he is happy to pay on a first date, to which Yifrah quipped that it's easy to say when working at IAI. Yifrah's curiosity led him to touch buttons in the cockpit, prompting Gershon to remove him for safety reasons.

Later, Yifrah met Yuval Sabag, manager of the transportation control center, who orchestrates the company's logistics. Sabag shared her preferred opening line for dates: "Where are your eyes?" The day concluded with Yifrah meeting Yair Katz, chairman of the IAI workers' union. Katz humorously informed Yifrah that his presence had delayed a plane delivery by four months due to his perceived lack of skill, suggesting he might be better suited for the UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) division.
