Hasidic Community Marks Anniversary of Rabbi Moshe Meir of Shachatz

The Shachatz Hasidic dynasty in Ashdod held a memorial gathering, or "hilula," to commemorate the anniversary of the passing of Rabbi Moshe Meir of Shachatz, of blessed memory. The event included a celebratory meal and the completion of the study of the entire Talmud, known as "Siyum HaShas," by the scholars of the 'Imrei Moshe' kollel, an institution founded in his honor.

During the gathering, Rabbi Moshe Meir of Shachatz's son, the current Rebbe of Shachatz-Drohobitch, delivered remarks on his father's teachings. He also recited the Grace After Meals, a role extended to him by his brother, the Rebbe of Shachatz-Ashdod.
