Ashelag Hasidim Gather for Unity Shabbat at Meron Led by Rebbe
A large gathering of Hasidim and supporters of the Ashelag community convened for a Unity Shabbat at the holy site of Meron, led by the Ashelag Rebbe and attended by his father-in-law, the Komarna Rebbe from Ramat Shlomo. The event took place in the Bnei Akiva hall in Meron, located above the tomb of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai (Rashbi).
On Friday evening, the crowd participated in a ceremony marking the completion of the Zohar study cycle, accompanied by an orchestra. The Ashelag Rebbe concluded the current Zohar cycle and initiated a new cycle of daily Zohar study (Daf Yomi). Prayers and festive meals were held throughout the Shabbat in the Bnei Akiva complex.
On the holy Shabbat night, after delivering a lesson on the Zohar, the Rebbe led the congregation to the rooftop of Rashbi's tomb for the Kabbalat Shabbat and Maariv prayers. The Shabbat was described as uplifting and spiritually significant for the Ashelag Hasidim and supporters present at the sacred site of Meron.
The event was extensively documented with photographs by Yehuda Parkovitz, capturing the communal spirit and religious devotion of the participants during this special Shabbat gathering.
