Jackie Azulai Exits MasterChef Dream Team but Stands Confident and Unfazed

Jackie Azulai, one of the standout contestants on the current season of MasterChef: Dream Team, was eliminated in a tense episode aired on August 26. Despite leaving the competition in tears, Azulai expressed confidence in her abilities and insisted she was not less skilled than those who remained. She revealed in an interview on the show "Good Evening with Guy Pines" that she asked fellow contestants to stop applauding her elimination because she felt they were glad to see her go. Azulai emphasized that her exit was due to one dish that did not meet expectations, not a lack of talent, and said she was not sad but at peace with herself.

When asked if unfamiliar ingredients contributed to her elimination, Azulai dismissed this, saying she expected challenges and was prepared to cook outside her comfort zone. She recalled receiving praise for a previous dish, which made her emotional, especially after a judge complimented her sensitivity despite her outspoken personality. Azulai also shared a personal anecdote about cooking for her children, noting that her son prefers simple foods like fries and schnitzel.

Looking ahead, Azulai mentioned a potential new opportunity after meeting Eli Mizrahi, who suggested she audition for "Dancing with the Stars." She remains optimistic about her future in television and culinary arts. The next episode of MasterChef: Dream Team is scheduled to air on Sunday on Keshet 12.
