IDF Chief Visits Yerocham Yeshiva to Mark Elul Period After Gaza Briefing

Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, the Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, visited Yerocham Yeshiva on Tuesday to mark the beginning of the Elul period. His visit followed a recent briefing and situation assessment in the Gaza Strip. At the yeshiva, Zamir met with students and wounded individuals associated with the institution. The visit was arranged at the invitation of the yeshiva's leadership, providing an opportunity for Zamir to engage in dialogue with the students and injured attendees. During the visit, Zamir spoke with one student who is the son of retired Captain Rabbi Avi Goldberg, who was killed in combat in southern Lebanon about two years ago.
