Yael Shelbia Says Lance Stroll Is 'The One'
Israeli model Yael Shelbia says her relationship with Formula 1 driver Lance Stroll is serious and deeply happy. In an interview tied to her new role as the face of the April perfume and cosmetics chain, Shelbia described the campaign launch for “For Every Mood” and answered questions about the couple, including why they were not seen together at the wedding of Eden Pines and Omer Cohen.
Shelbia said their romance came back together after a breakup because Stroll was the one who initiated the reconciliation. She described him as a man who “fights for what he wants,” and said the relationship has developed slowly and has already gone through “all the tests.” Asked whether he is the one, she answered, “At the highest level.”
She said marriage is not being discussed yet, but added that she is older and knows what she wants. “I’m much more mature today,” she said, adding that the relationship works because “it was built slowly” and that she is “very happy” and that “there is no man like this in the world.” She also said their schedules are coordinated, noting that both of them are busy with work, travel and commitments, but that they manage to make time for each other.
Shelbia said her family and friends were strongly supportive of Stroll. She also addressed the wedding decision, saying she wanted him there and had asked him to reserve the date a month in advance, but decided at the last minute that it was not the right time because there was “too much noise” around the matter. She added that he will visit Israel soon, saying, “He is coming today.”
