IDF Strikes Hamas Nukhba Commander Involved in October 7 Attack in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Monday that it targeted a Hamas Nukhba unit commander who participated in the October 7 attack on Israeli territory. The strike took place in the Khan Yunis area in southern Gaza Strip. According to the IDF spokesperson, the militant was among those who infiltrated Israel during the deadly assault on October 7. The commander’s activities did not cease after the attack; throughout the ongoing conflict, he continued orchestrating terrorist operations against IDF forces operating in Gaza. The IDF stated that his recent actions posed an immediate threat to Israeli troops, prompting the decision to eliminate him. The Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area as per operational directives and will continue efforts to neutralize any immediate threats, the spokesperson added. This operation aligns with Prime Minister Netanyahu’s warnings to Hamas regarding rocket fire and ongoing hostilities.
