Israeli Reservist and Two Civilians Rescued from Palestinian Authority Areas to Prevent Lynchings
On Sunday, Israeli Civil Administration forces rescued three Israelis who had entered Palestinian Authority-controlled Areas A in the West Bank, where entry is prohibited and dangerous. The first incident occurred in the village of Ein Arik near Binyamin, where an armed Israeli reservist, not in uniform, mistakenly entered the area. Coordination officers quickly secured his safe extraction and handed him over to the IDF.
Simultaneously, a young Israeli woman was found wandering intentionally in the city of Jericho. Civil Administration officers acted swiftly to rescue her due to concerns for her safety. In a third case in Bethlehem, an Israeli man known to have mental health issues was spotted roaming the city streets. Palestinian residents alerted Israeli security forces, who promptly took him into custody.
All three cases were transferred to the Judea and Samaria Police District for further handling. Israeli security officials reiterated that entering Areas A is life-threatening and illegal under Israeli law, urging the public to avoid unnecessary risks in Palestinian cities and villages.
