Rami Levy Online Offers Cheapest Grocery Prices with Nearly 200 Shekel Savings
A recent online price comparison reveals significant cost differences between Israeli supermarket chains for identical grocery baskets. Using the Prices website, a test showed that Rami Levy Online had the lowest total basket price at 845.90 shekels, while Shufersal Online was the most expensive at 1,044.06 shekels, marking a 198.16 shekel or 23.4% price gap.

Pasta prices also varied, with Rami Levy selling it for 5.20 shekels compared to Carrefour's 7 shekels, a 34.6% gap. Consumers are advised to compare full basket prices across multiple online stores before purchasing, considering delivery fees, promotions, loyalty programs, and minimum order requirements. Checking if displayed prices are promotional and understanding the terms is also important, as a single cheap product may not guarantee the lowest overall basket cost. This approach helps shoppers identify the most cost-effective supermarket for their entire grocery list.
