Samsung and Bananhot Launch Galaxy Z8 Foldables with Neta Alchamistir at Beach Club TLV
Samsung Israel and swimwear brand Bananhot teamed up for a summer campaign titled "Unfold Your Summer Story" to launch Samsung's new Galaxy Z8 foldable phone series. The collaboration centers around Neta Alchamistir, co-founder of Bananhot and a Samsung Israel brand ambassador, who described the partnership as a natural blend of technology and fashion. "When we started Bananhot, we shot photos on phone cameras," she said, emphasizing the authentic connection between the two worlds. Model and influencer Romi Frenkel summarized the synergy simply: "Sea is Bananhot, photography is Neta, and it all connects."
The launch event took place at Beach Club TLV, which was transformed with branded sunbeds, towels, bandanas, and cushions, alongside specially designed photo zones. Highlights included a giant foldable sunbed, a photo pier on the water, and a lavender-themed menu matching the launch colors. A foldable beach chair designed jointly by Bananhot and Samsung, inspired by the new phone, was also unveiled. The event featured guests such as Eden Pins, Maya Kay, Barak Shamir, Shachaf Raz, and Tomer Cohen, with live music by MISTERMISS.
Alchamistir, balancing career, business, and motherhood, admitted the summer schedule is challenging. She credited her support system, especially on the event day when her husband's family was busy with another celebration. She also revealed an upcoming family wedding for her sister Sapir, who is an event producer. Alchamistir plans to assist with outfits for the bachelorette party.
Romi Frenkel shared updates on her career, revealing her first acting role came after a rare successful audition. Regarding her personal life, she described herself as single and refining what she wants in a partner. She humorously dismissed grand romantic gestures, recounting receiving an entire flower garden delivered to her home, saying, "Men, that doesn’t impress me. I’m more impressed by the face, not a million roses."
While Samsung and Bananhot fold concepts and products into one summer event, Alchamistir juggles work, family, and wedding preparations, and Frenkel continues to focus on her career and personal growth. The event combined technology, fashion, and lifestyle in a vibrant summer setting at Tel Aviv's Beach Club.
