Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem’s summer terrace reopens with Mexican-inspired menu

Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem will reopen its Terrace summer bar on June 1 for a three-month run, welcoming both hotel guests and the general public. The fourth-floor venue is positioned as an upscale but relaxed evening spot, with open Jerusalem views, soft music, warm lighting, olive trees, local greenery, and an open kitchen and bar.

This year’s menu adds a bolder, more colorful direction, with Mexican influences developed in cooperation with Patron tequila. Alongside the terrace’s Mediterranean dishes, chef de cuisine Itzik Barak Mizrahi has created new plates built around local, fresh ingredients and designed to pair with the cocktail program. The menu also includes vegan and gluten-free options, and the bar offers premium cigars.

The highlight is a new series of summer cocktails based on Patron tequila, including a refreshing Paloma with lime and grapefruit soda, Wild Paloma with fresh strawberry puree, the smoky Old Smokey with cocoa bitters and rosemary, and the Verde Margarita with passion fruit, pear, and coriander. The hotel says the drinks are meant to match Jerusalem’s summer evenings and the terrace’s atmosphere.

Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem general manager Avner On said, “The Terrace summer bar offers a wonderful outing combining delicious food, quality alcohol and a stunning view. The hospitality is at Hilton’s high standards and hotel guests as well as the general public are invited to come and enjoy a break in our beautiful Jerusalem, and hospitality fit for kings.” The terrace will operate Sunday through Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., the kitchen will close at 10:30 p.m., it is kosher under the Jerusalem Rabbinate with Mehadrin products, and entry requires advance reservation.
