Suspected Price-Tag Attacks Target Palestinian Villages in West Bank Following Recent Killings

On August 4, 2026, suspected price-tag attacks occurred in the Palestinian village of Uzarin in the West Bank, involving arson of a building, vehicle burning, and graffiti vandalism. The graffiti included messages such as "Revenge 30 for Benyahu" and "Death to the enemy, freedom to the homeland," referencing Benyahu Malt, a security guard and agricultural official at Gilad Farm, who was killed in a shooting attack near Gilad Farm last month. The attack also resulted in the death of Captain Yuval Ezra, 27, from Herzliya, an artillery battery commander.

Following this incident, additional attacks were reported in nearby areas: a mosque was set on fire in Kusra with graffiti including "Revenge Benyahu" and a Star of David; five vehicles were burned in the village of Beitillu; and tractors and trucks were torched near Khirbet Abu Falah, where two injured Palestinians were evacuated to a hospital, reportedly due to beatings.

Subsequently, clashes erupted near Nablus when a group of Israelis entered the village of Tal in Samaria, close to where Benyahu Malt was killed, and proceeded toward the outskirts of Nablus. The Israeli military reported Palestinians threw stones and one fired a warning shot; no injuries were reported. Additionally, Israeli civilians reportedly vandalized a cemetery in the area. Israeli police have opened an investigation and are preparing to enter the affected areas with IDF support.
