Israeli Soldier Kills Knife-Wielding Attacker During Operation in Jenin

During an Israeli military operation in the Jenin area of the Menashe Brigade sector, a Palestinian assailant armed with a knife attempted to stab an IDF soldier. The soldier and his unit responded immediately with gunfire, killing the attacker on the spot. According to the IDF spokesperson, no Israeli forces were injured in the incident. The attacker was identified as approaching the soldiers with a knife, prompting a swift response to neutralize the threat.

This incident is part of a series of recent Israeli military operations in the Jenin area aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructure and preventing attacks. Just days earlier, an IDF officer and a non-commissioned officer were wounded by an explosive device during a preparatory patrol for establishing a permanent outpost inside the Jenin refugee camp. Earlier in the week, reserve soldiers from the Duvdevan Unit, guided by the Shin Bet, arrested two terrorists in the Jenin and Al-Yamoun areas who were involved in planning attacks against Israeli security forces and civilians.
