Avigdor Lieberman Outlines Five-Step Plan to Defeat Netanyahu in 2026 Elections
Avigdor Lieberman, leader of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, has presented a strategic five-step plan aimed at unseating Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the upcoming 2026 elections. Lieberman emphasized that the future of Israel is at stake and warned against taking unnecessary risks, advocating for strict adherence to a unified opposition bloc strategy to secure leadership of the country.
The core of Lieberman's strategy is to achieve a voter turnout of 76 percent or higher, which he believes is essential to replace the current government formed after the October 7 conflict with a Zionist government that works for the people of Israel. He called for concentrated efforts to motivate voters and increase turnout.
Lieberman also stressed the importance of preventing internal conflicts within the opposition coalition, pledging that there will be no political cannibalism or competing alliances among bloc members. He criticized the demand that all opposition parties immediately declare their largest party leader as their prime minister candidate, calling it a serious mistake born of political inexperience.
He referenced the last elections where the Yesh Atid party won an impressive 24 seats but the opposition remained sidelined, enduring bitter disappointment alongside the public. Lieberman insisted that only a firm commitment to these principles and a cohesive bloc strategy will deliver a clear and decisive victory. He directed his message to all opposition members, urging unity and discipline ahead of the 2026 elections.
