Channel 14 Host Slams Witkoff and Kushner Over Iran Deal
Channel 14 host Tal Meir sharply attacked U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner on Monday during a live broadcast of "Israel Hayom," following the agreement with Iran. Meir accused the two of turning their backs on Israel at a critical moment and said they had forgotten where their real home is.
Meir said, "We are here, among other things, to protect you as well. In the end, this is your real home, and we protect it for you and for your future generations. And you turn your backs on us like this? פשוט לוזרים!" She also said they were "a little confused about the event" and added, "You are part of this people."
The criticism was not limited to Meir. Channel 14 presenter Yinon Magal also attacked Witkoff and Kushner over what he described as a surrender agreement, writing on X that U.S. President Donald Trump had "come out a loser" and claiming the two acted under Qatari pressure and influence, "selling out their brothers in Israel."
Israeli security sources warned that the dramatic deal is based on a fragile structure, signed in an American rush, and effectively leaves the core of the nuclear threat without a real answer. The source did not provide details on the next formal steps, beyond the broad dispute now surrounding the agreement.
