Futsal Player Ravid Shamai Signs with Ironi Tiberias in Israeli Premier League

Ravid Shamai, a 22-year-old futsal player, has officially signed with Ironi Tiberias, marking a rare direct transition from the futsal league to the Israeli Premier League. Previously playing for Maccabi Nahalat Yitzhak in the futsal league, Shamai scored three goals last season, including a notable brace in a 16-4 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv. Before that, he played in Liga Alef South for Hapoel Lod and Maccabi Yavne, primarily as a substitute.

Maccabi Nahalat Yitzhak announced the transfer, praising Shamai as a talented and humble player and wishing him success in his new chapter. The club highlighted that this is the first time in their league's history that a player has moved directly from futsal to the top-tier football league. According to the Israeli Football Association website, Shamai is already registered with Ironi Tiberias and could be included in the squad for the opening match against Hapoel Petah Tikva.

The futsal club expressed hope that Shamai will return to them after a long and successful career at the highest levels, emphasizing that his move demonstrates that anything is possible in sports with belief and determination.
