Hani Nahmias Surprises Audience with Return to Peter Pan Stage After 38 Years

Hani Nahmias, who originally played Wendy in the 1988 production of Peter Pan, made a surprise appearance on stage at the Cameri Theater in Tel Aviv this Wednesday morning. During the current musical performance, Nahmias joined the cast on stage, receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience who quickly recognized her. She stood alongside Mashi Kleinstein, the current Wendy, and Lee Biran, who plays Peter Pan in the new production.

This unexpected moment also marked a touching reunion between two generations of Peter Pan performers. Nahmias’s original director, Hanokh Rozen, who now directs the current production, was also present; he had played Peter Pan alongside Nahmias in 1988. The musical recently returned to the stage with a new cast including Lee Biran, Mashi Kleinstein, and Sasson Gabai, who reprises his role as Captain Hook from the original production.

The event symbolized a full circle moment, bringing together the original Wendy, the current Wendy, and the contemporary Peter Pan on the same stage, bridging nearly four decades of theatrical history.
